Taylor Babcock, MOTR/L
Lead Occupational Therapist
Director, Ethos Pediatric Therapy · Board Certified in Pediatrics (AOTA, 2024)
Taylor’s path to pediatric occupational therapy was shaped as much by her personal experiences as her academic ones. She first joined the Ethos community as an athlete in 2015, competed in collegiate soccer at the University of Portland, and ultimately returned to Michigan to complete her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan.
After graduating, Taylor pursued her Master of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University, earning her degree in 2021. She went on to work at Children’s Hospital Colorado, where she served children across a wide range of diagnoses and developmental needs — gaining the kind of clinical depth that only comes from working in a high-acuity hospital environment.
In 2024, she earned her Board Certification in Pediatrics from the American Occupational Therapy Association — a credential held by a small percentage of OT practitioners — and returned to Michigan to open Ethos Pediatric Therapy. She had interned with the Regeneration Program at Ethos in 2018 and always felt called back to the community that helped shape her.
Taylor chose occupational therapy because every day is an opportunity to make someone’s life better. She believes children are the greatest teachers in the world — they have a grand love for life and always seem to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. In a field where we are all living life for the first time, kids are the experts at helping us stop and appreciate the small wins. She believes each child deserves experiences that will encourage them to take on challenges, bet on themselves, and follow their passions.
The Ethos Philosophy
Therapy that fits real life
“My mission for Ethos Pediatric Therapy is to create an environment that kids love, because here, doing hard things feels easy. We want to create a community that allows children and their families to engage playfully and live life fully. “
Our clinical philosophy is grounded in a simple but powerful idea: that children make the most meaningful progress when therapy feels relevant, achievable, and connected to the things they actually care about. That means understanding the family’s routines, a child’s interests, and the specific environments where skills need to show up — not just what happens in a session, but what happens at the dinner table, on the playground, and in the classroom.
We take a strengths-based approach, building on what each child can already do and gradually expanding from there. Goals are always developed collaboratively with families, and progress is measured not just by clinical benchmarks but by whether life is actually getting easier and more enjoyable for the child and those around them.
Our vision for Ethos Pediatric Therapy is to build something more than a clinic. We want kids and their families to feel included and empowered. Together, we will create enduring, meaningful solutions that are embedded directly into their daily lives. Most of all, we want to cultivate a community of kids who know that with relentless effort and self-belief, any goal is within reach.
Who We Are
Part of the ETHOS family
Ethos is rooted in community, positivity, relentless work ethic, and a belief that growth is for everyone. The environment transcends categorical domains like age or skill and celebrates something fundamental — that in order to grow, we all show up to do challenging things.
Ethos Pediatric Therapy was founded on that same foundation. We are part of the Ethos family, a group of Michigan-based practices and programs that share a common commitment: helping people of all ages move better, live better, and reach their full potential.
The Ethos family includes Ethos Physical Therapy, which has been providing hands-on, one-on-one physical therapy care in Plymouth and South Lyon for over 15 years; Ethos Human Performance, a performance training facility rooted in discipline, coaching, and the belief that physical development changes people both inside and out; and the Regeneration Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2022 that works to improve the physical and mental lives of those in need by providing access to training, resources, and support.
We bring occupational therapy into the Ethos community because we believe children — like athletes, like patients, like anyone striving to do more — deserve the kind of care that meets them where they are and invests in where they’re going.
